When was your business founded?
GP Surveyors are celebrating our 25th anniversary this year. Chris Johnson and Andrew O’Dowd founded the firm in 2000, and since then, we’ve grown into a 17-strong team. We’re proud to be the market leaders in the primary care property sector and to have helped over 3,400 GP practices across the UK.

What are your core products or services?
GP Surveyors provide specialist primary care property valuations, rent reviews and leases to GP practices, pharmacies and dentists across the UK. Our services include:

• Notional Rent Reviews
• Leased Rent Reviews (Landlord)
• Leased Rent Reviews (Tenant)
• Market Valuations
• Premises Sale & Leaseback
• Lease Consultations – Creation, Renewal or Reviews

GP Partners and Managers of Primary care properties across the UK.

What makes your business different in your field?
With over 25 years of experience helping GP practices, we pride ourselves on the surveying expertise and personal level of service we deliver to our clients.

Has anything changed in your industry over the years?
Rules and regulations have changed in the sector over the years, and our Directors are always keeping pace, so we can deliver the best services possible.

Digital advances have seen our client communications change hugely; we’ve fully embraced video for client calls, meetings and webinars. We’ve found it really helps build relationships and provides a much more personal service, as well as being very convenient for our clients.

What new trends or innovations have you embraced recently?
Over the past couple of years, we have really embraced webinars and host free advice sessions regularly. We still like to attend face-to-face events, but have found that we can reach a larger audience by providing webinars during clients’ lunch breaks. Our sessions are much more convenient for our clients, and if they are called away for a meeting or to see a patient, they can watch the recording back!

Recent highlights you’d like to share?
This year, we’ve launched our GP Property Podcast series. We are finding podcasts to be a fantastic way of helping provide GP practices with free advice and updates on all aspects of primary care property.

What are you most proud of as a business?
The number of happy clients we have. Many of our clients return to us yearly, and we’re proud that they trust us to deliver a high-quality, efficient service for their GP surgeries.
